Warehouse Process Automation and Inventory Control

diya hero mobile

The Ribbon UA team was engaged to implement technical infrastructure for a logistics facility, with the main goal of streamlining inventory tracking and process control. The key requirement was to build an environment that ensures accurate tracking of goods movement, controlled access to premises, and continuous visual monitoring of critical zones.

Implemented Solution Components

1. Barcode Scanning Devices

A barcode-based inventory system was implemented. Data collection terminals (DCTs) allow staff to quickly record goods movement, scan labels, and generate reports.
The system is integrated with accounting software for real-time data synchronization.

2. Video Surveillance System

A full surveillance system was deployed in the warehouse. Cameras cover entrances, logistic corridors, and main movement routes.
Video footage is archived, and remote access is available.

3. Access Control System

Access to restricted warehouse zones is managed through both card-based and contactless authorization systems.
The setup includes entry/exit logging, time tracking, and periodic reporting.

4. Network Infrastructure

Wired connections and power supply points were installed to support surveillance, barcode terminals, and inventory systems.
The engineering infrastructure was delivered as a turnkey solution.

Technical Details

The project was executed in coordination with the client’s technical department. All solutions were tailored to the warehouse’s specific needs: large areas, zoning, and the requirement for 24/7 monitoring. Installed equipment was tested under real-world operational loads.

Result

The warehouse is now fully integrated into a digital inventory system.
Goods movement is automatically recorded without human involvement. Video monitoring provides visual verification of actions, and the access control system prevents unauthorized entry. The project was completed end-to-end — from technical requirements to final launch.
